Since January 20, 2021, the Biden Administration has engaged in wide-ranging viewpoint suppression and other information control efforts with social media platform companies, as confirmed by the White House press secretary, discovery from federal lawsuits, and as divulged by Twitter and Facebook CEOs. During the same time, the Department of Education has proposed and implemented very costly and controversial policies with enormous implications for America's students, teachers, and taxpayers. DFI believes there is reason to believe the Department may have similarly coordinated information control efforts by flagging certain posts and viewpoints while promoting other posts and viewpoints. DFI's request is for records of any and all such information control efforts between the Department and social media platform companies.
