PRESS RELEASE: DFI Statement on Biden Administration’s Proposed Title IX Changes Impacting Women’s Sports

WASHINGTON – Defense of Freedom Institute for Policy Studies (DFI) President Bob Eitel released the following statement on the Biden Administration’s proposed regulations governing athletics under Title IX:

The Biden administration’s proposed rule on athletics would undo more than half a century of progress under Title IX for women and girls in sports. The radical political appointees that run the Education Department have double-downed on their grotesque reading of the law and make it clear that they intend to yank education funding from states, schools, and communities that have taken measures to preserve Title IX’s purpose—ensure equal opportunities for female athletes.  

It’s also outrageous that the Biden administration would give the public only 30 days to comment on its weaponization of Title IX, and sadly predictable that it would announce this rule when many Americans of faith are focused on Passover and Easter celebrations.
